The role is responsible for understanding the trading metrics of our business – identifying what acquisition marketing channels work where, how to optimise them for different revenue streams, different customers, and different teams. It will involve planning, creating, delivering, analysing, optimising and driving the marketing plans across all channels - owning what we have now (such as Direct Mail, Door Drops, PPC, Social, SEO), whilst also testing as much as possible with new channels, messaging, creative, offers, pricing and incentives.

Responsibilities

  • Create a full TTL acquisition plan
  • Coordinate media, creative, SEO, PPC, barter, affiliate, lead generation and other rostered agencies / suppliers in the roll-out of specific activation strategies and plans
  • Define a comprehensive testing road map incorporating ad copy optimisation, A/B testing of landing pages and destination URLs and implementation of BETAs,and trial new programmatic and precision advertising techniques to accelerate performance
  • Work closely with the CMO to define and implement an integrated customer acquisition

Strategy

  • Measure, evaluate and optimise marketing performance against acquisition targets
  • Create a best-in-class reporting suite to help us achieve goals
  • Forecast and manage lead planning to ensure targets are achieved within agreed budgets
  • Monitor and evaluate daily campaign performance to continually improve ROI
  • Identify key audiences across the acquisition journey, building bespoke communication approaches tailored to individual consumer need states and user missions

Delivery

  • Manage, optimise and improve the performance of all Always-On Paid Search, Display, Retargeting, Aggregator activity and offline media channels including Direct Mail
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all marketing channels and communications comply with legal and regulatory requirements by working with Compliance and company peers
  • Ensure consistent messaging through all marketing touch points
  • Relationship Management
  • Manage and mentor a Marketing Manager
  • Create strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the entire business
  • Be a single point of contact for the media agency, managing workload, budgets & priorities to deliver maximum value and ROI
  • Challenge media and creative agencies to deliver best in class work and innovative solutions to campaigns
  • Produce insightful learnings from all media activity ensuring all leanings are shared across the business
  • Product and proposition development
